The Great River Road Rally route covered a handful of states I had never been through before, and passed through a couple I hadn’t visited in decades. In addition, I would be following the Mississippi River, rather than crossing it on my escapes out west. New roads, plenty of interesting and historic checkpoints, maybe even some warm weather and (most importantly) tacos along the way.
How could I resist?
